- Yes. Krispy is MIT-licensed and self-hosts on Cloudflare's free tier with no API key — $0 to run, forever. Krispy Cloud ($19/mo) is an optional convenience if you'd rather not touch a terminal.
- 02Self-host or Krispy Cloud — which do I pick?
- Self-host if you want the code and data in your Cloudflare account and don't mind a CLI plus config files — it's free forever. Pick Krispy Cloud if you want us to host and update it, with a web dashboard for sites, appearance, knowledge sources, lead forms, and billing.
- 03Where does my data live?
- On self-host, every conversation stays in your own Cloudflare account and your Telegram — it never passes through us. No proprietary format, no 'export is a paid feature.' Leaving is as easy as arriving.
- 04Does the AI make things up?
- Krispy answers from a knowledge base you write, in your voice — not open-ended guessing. When it isn't sure, or a visitor asks for a person, it tags you in on Telegram instead of inventing an answer.
- 05How does the Telegram handoff work?
- Connect a Telegram bot once. When a visitor needs a human, Krispy pings you there; you reply from your phone and it lands live in the visitor's chat. The same transcript continues, so the visitor does not have to start over.
- 06Can Krispy qualify leads and connect to my workflow?
- Krispy can ask the questions you configure in a lead form — including text, email, phone, and select fields — then deliver the answers and recent conversation to Telegram or email. The current release does not include native Slack, Jira, or n8n connectors, meeting booking, or automatic UTM, device, and location attribution.
- 07Is there a mobile app?
- Buttr, our native iOS and Android operator inbox, is in active development and is not available to download yet. Today, Telegram is the phone handoff and Krispy Cloud is managed from the web dashboard.
